Mail-In Repairs and Alterations


Finding quality leatherwork is getting harder and harder, especially in rural communities. We’re here to help by offering mail-in repairs and alterations, garment alterations, bag restoration, and shoe repair.

How it Works:

  1. You e-mail us with a detailed description of the job, applicable photos, etc and we will send back a quote range (liable to change if upon arrival the job is more complicated)
  2. (Optional) We do a virtual fitting for any garment alterations
  3. You mail us your item(s) with your Name, Address, E-mail, Phone Number, required repair or alteration, and requested due date (if applicable) clearly written inside the box
  4. We send you an online invoice for the full amount, including tax and return shipping, collect payment and then do the job!
  5. We ship it back to you! You’ll receive an email as soon as it’s complete, along with a tracking number.

US / International Mail-Ins:

Repair and alteration items are duty-free under the CUMSA agreement. However, this is under heightened scrutiny with the changing tariff laws and sometimes duties may still be charged. Duties will be charged back to the sender at billing. 

For your best chance of a duty-free repair please ensure:

1. Shipping label –  Please enter HS CODE 9802 00 5060 for all items (this is the HS code for duty-free repairs). For the Value of Goods please use the estimated repair price (CAD). 

2. Owner’s Declaration – We send you a sample! Please print and attach to the exterior of the box. For the item HS code please use the apprpraite HS Code to decribe your item.

Items That Are Not Eligible:

Please DO NOT ship us your:

  • Color Re-Dyes: Color Re-dyes can only be appraised in person to guarantee the results. This service is not eligible for mail-ins
  • Your couch/furniture (seriously, it’s happened!)
  • Mouldy or incredibly dirty items

Guarantees & Terms:

All our terms and conditions are outlined here. For mail-in repairs, all items are inspected twice before they leave the studio.

If anything was missed (which is an extremely rare occurrence), we ask the customer to ship it to us and we will cover a free repair and return shipping. Alternatively, we may offer to issue a refund of the value of the missed repair. All items are held in the studio until tickets are fully paid.
